St. Johns Forest, the gated community Taylor Woodrow is developing at County Road 210 and I-95 in St. Johns County, announced four homebuilders have been approved to start construction of model homes in the first phase of the gated community.

Altogether, 153 home sites will be available in the first phase, said Tom Spence, senior land development manager at Taylor Woodrow.

Richard R. Dostie, a Toll Brothers Company, ICI Homes, David Weekley and Morrison Homes will start construction of model and spec homes in the second quarter of 2004, Spence said.

Toll Brothers, one of the nations largest and most active builders, and ICI Homes, a division of Intervest Construction, Inc., based in Volusia County, will build on 62 of the largest home sites in the first phase. Spence said homes on the 80-foot home sites will be priced from the $350s.

David Weekley Homes, the national homebuilder based in Texas, plans to build homes priced from the $300s on 70-foot home sites. Spence said 57 of the 70-foot home sites are included in the first phase.

Morrison Homes, which builds homes in six Sun Belt states and ranks among the top builders in the U.S., will build homes priced from the $250s on 34 home sites with 60-foot frontage in the first phase at St. Johns Forest.
