Mike Orsa was the first runner to carry the Olympic Torch in Jacksonville Friday morning. Orsa is a New York City fireman and has spent 11 weeks at Ground Zero. The torch arrived via Coast Guard frigate at the Landing at 7:30 and after a brief ceremony, Orsa left with the torch. Dozens of runners carried the torch through downtown and Riverside before it left by car for St. Augustine. Salt Lake City, Utah is hosting the 2002 Winter Olympics in February.
