Wanted: Business in government reporter

In covering the governmental decisions that shape Northeast Florida’s business environment and economy, no one outshines the Jacksonville Daily Record.

We’re looking for a reporter with the competitive spirit, analytical skills and journalistic talent to keep us at the front of the pack.

If you like beating the competition on breaking stories, we’d like to talk to you. If you thrive on the challenge of explaining complex issues in a clear, concise way, we’re interested. If you like the thought of being the lockdown, must-read source for Jacksonville’s business leaders on governmental affairs, let us know.

As the Daily Record’s government reporter, you’ll cover some of the biggest stories in Northeast Florida.

You’ll be part of an award-winning newsroom with extensive experience.

And you’ll be part of something rare and extraordinary – a publication that is growing. Our family-owned company is expanding our news team.

When it comes to covering government and public policy, we deal in facts and leave the partisan bias to others. Objectivity is a core value for us – we don’t publish editorials or opinion columns.

If you want to cover politics, don’t apply.

But if you’d like to be part of a thriving publication that online and in print covers government with integrity, authority and vitality, send us a cover letter and resume.
