Debbie and Don Nicol, owners of the TacoLu restaurant at 1183 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville Beach, stand at the former Homestead Restaurant, just a half-mile away at 1712 Beach Blvd. Don Nicol said they paid $1.65 million for the Homestead property and will invest another $175,000 to $250,000 to renovate it for TacoLu. TacoLu has about 155 seats at its existing location and will have up to 200 at the new site, which could open by November. The Nicols intend to close the existing TacoLu on a Sunday and open at the new site on a Tuesday.
