Bechen Bistro 3 LLC registered 1928 Cuban Bistro 3 with the state Dec. 27 under the Fictitious Name Law to do business at 6331 Roosevelt Blvd., Unit 6, in Ortega.

The 1928 bistro.com site says its first two restaurants are at 3928 Baymeadows Road in Baymeadows and at 160 Shops Blvd. in Saint Johns.

Founder and owner Rebecca Gonzalez says on the website that her grandfather was born Oct. 4, 1928, and left Cuba in 1961 to escape communism, finding safety in the U.S. “He worked hard all his life to create the ‘American Dream’ for his three daughters,” the site says.

He was the rock of the family and her No. 1 supporter.

The bistros feature espresso coffee and Cuban food. All three are open.

Rebecca’s sister, Sarah Hernandez, is creative director and social media manager.

The business is dedicated to their grandparents, Mario and Pura Alvarado.
