It’s now official: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty is the new name of the Prudential Network Realty.

The official change came last month at the annual awards celebration, which was held in the Terrace Suites at EverBank Field.

Officials from Berkshire Hathaway were on hand as Linda Sherrer, the local company’s founder and president, presented awards and introduced the new signage.

The honorees included:

• Anita Vining of the San Marco office was the top producer with more than $36 million in closed sales volume.

• Stefanie Bernstein of the St. Augustine office was the top listing agent.

• Allison Steilberg of the Avondale office was the company’s top sales agent and transaction agent with more than 362 units.

• Laney Smith of the Avondale office was named Rookie of the Year.

• The Avondale office received the Chairman’s Cup, which recognizes over-achievement of budget targets in a number of categories including client feedback, recruiting, listing sides, closed sides, per-person productivity and closed volume.

There was good news for the entire company, which achieved double-digit growth in closed sales for the fourth straight year.

In 2013, the company’s closed sales increased by 25 percent over 2012’s results. Additionally, the company’s closed sales of homes priced above $500,000 in 2013 increased by 41 percent over 2012 results.

The company outperformed the Northeast Florida Multiple Listing Service, which reported a 28 percent increase in 2013 sales over the previous year.

“The key to our continuing success is the dedication and professionalism of our incredible sales team,” said Linda Sherrer, president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Founder. “Our associates, together with the leadership and guidance of our managing brokers and support team, are the driving force behind our continuous success and phenomenal growth, which has advanced our company ahead of the competition in year-over-year results. Our team consistently delivers the highest level of performance and service.”

The annual awards ceremony brought together the company’s business partners, managers and sales associates from eight different offices. It was held immediately before the company’s brand transition meeting and celebration of its new identity.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices was created in 2012 as a new real estate brand majority-owned by HomeServices of America, Inc., an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway, and Brookfield Asset Management, which acquired Prudential Real Estate in 2011. The network is operated by HSF Affiliates LLC, another company majority-owned by HomeServices of America.

The companies are part of famed investor Warren Buffett’s empire.

In buying Prudential here, the company added more than 300 real estate professionals and eight branch offices.
