The board of directors of Florida Coastal School of Law has appointed President Peter Goplerud dean as well, replacing interim Dean Jennifer Reiber, who has returned to her full-time faculty position.
Reiber was appointed interim dean in September, after the resignation of former Dean Scott DeVito.
In an email sent Jan. 17 to the school's students, faculty and staff, board Chair Scott Thompson said Reiber will resume teaching the Bar exam preparation courses National Law Survey and Uniform Law Survey. She also will be Florida Coastal's externship coordinator.
Goplerud was Florida Coastal's dean from from 2004 to 2013, when he went to work for InfiLaw, the company that owns Florida Coastal. He returned to the school as its president after DeVito's resignation.
“Dean Goplerud's priorities moving forward will include securing a partnership with an established university and continuing to strengthen Coastal's academic programs and student successes,” Thompson wrote.
