Lisa Valentine, former CEO at Summerville Medical Center in South Carolina, is CEO of Orange Park Medical Center, effective last week.
For Valentine, it’s a move within the HCA Healthcare system that she’s been a part of since 1992. Prior to serving as CEO at Summerville, Valentine was chief operating officer and worked in rehabilitation service at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Former Orange Park Medical Center CEO Chad Patrick stepped down to become CEO of Mission Hospital, an HCA Healthcare hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.
Valentine comes on board as the hospital undergoes several expansion projects.
In July, the hospital broke ground on a $62 million 48-bed patient tower, scheduled to open next fall. Also part of the $126 million expansion, the hospital opened a 12,000-square-foot electrophysiology lab, expanded its neonatal intensive care unit and will renovate its kitchen and dining area to triple its size.
“This hospital is going through incredible growth. It’s a sign of progress and the community’s confidence in the work we do here,” Valentine said.
Valentine received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Florida and her master’s degree in health services administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
