Foxtail Coffee Co. franchise owners Ty Claggett and Doug Tutwiler announced Dec. 16 they will open a second Northeast Florida location.
They announced the first one in Jacksonville at 2039 Hendricks Ave. in East San Marco in Jacksonville. The 1,900-square-foot shop should open in fall 2022.
On Dec. 16, they announced a second will be at 260 Front St., Suite 620, in Sawgrass Village Shopping Center in Ponte Vedra Beach. The 1,300-square-foot location will open in spring 2022.
Claggett and Tutwiler said they are strategically focused on opening their first locations in two trade areas with the most dominant neighborhood markets.
“We look forward to opening our doors while connecting with customers in both these vibrant communities,” the owners said in a news release.
The entry into Ponte Vedra Beach and San Marco marks Foxtail’s first steps of expansion into Northeast Florida.
They plan to open a total seven to 10 stores in Northeast Florida in the next five years.
Foxtail Coffee is based in Winter Park. Most of its 30 locations are in Central Florida. All of its beans are roasted at the company’s Orlando facility.
Foxtail said its cafes offer a modern and comfortable atmosphere for meetings, work, relaxation and socializing.
Its menu includes coffee, espresso-based drinks, cold brews, tea, light fare, desserts and beer and wine at many locations, including the first two Northeast Florida shops.
Franchise owners say they will emphasize local beer.
Menus are not finalized for the area stores and may vary by location.
“Foxtail Coffee strives to offer a one-of-a-kind gathering space for the community,” the release said.
Foxtail specializes in roasting fresh coffee beans from around the world using the latest roasting equipment.
It says it is dedicated to sustainability and ethical business practices by sourcing its beans from environmentally friendly farms that pay fair wages to employees.
