A trust led by fired Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer’s wife sold the South Jacksonville house it bought in April 2021 back to the buyer for a $150,000 gain.
Shelley Jean Meyer, individually and as trustee of the Shelley Jean Meyer Revocable Trust, sold the Glen Kernan house to Satyaprakash Krishnarao on March 8, 2022, for $2.3 million. The deed was recorded March 28 with the Duval County Clerk of Courts.
The trust bought the property April 16, 2021, for $2.15 million from spouses Satyaprakash and Jennifer Krishnarao.
Urban Meyer’s wife is named Shelley Jean Meyer.
The home is at 12450 Royal Troon Lane in the gated Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club in South Jacksonville.
The home is on the same street as the house of former University of Florida quarterback, Tim Tebow, who played for Meyer at UF.
Meyer’s former home was built in 2007. The two-story house, with a partial third floor, features an elevator, butler’s kitchen, game room, heated pool and spa and summer kitchen. It sits on 0.72 acres.
Meyer joined the Jaguars in January after six seasons as head coach at Ohio State University.
He was fired Dec. 16, 2021, after 13 games.
“After deliberation over many weeks and a thorough analysis of the entirety of Urban’s tenure with our team, I am bitterly disappointed to arrive at the conclusion that an immediate change is imperative for everyone,” owner Shad Khan said in a statement released Dec. 16.
“I informed Urban of the change this evening. As I stated in October, regaining our trust and respect was essential. Regrettably, it did not happen.”
n addition to Meyer’s 2-11 record, fans and sports analysts raised concerns about his behavior, including reports of harsh treatment of his coaching staff, allegedly assaulting former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo and his answers about personnel and play call decisions.
A video of Meyer and a woman at a bar in Ohio led to a rebuke from Khan.
