Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Total Military Management CEO William “Matt” Connell to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Board of Directors on Nov. 24.
Connell is one of four of the governor’s appointees. The other three members are appointed by Mayor Lenny Curry.
He replaces Frank Mackesy, whose term expired in September.
Connell is a two-time Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and volunteers his time with the Jacksonville Civic Council and Ronald McDonald House, a news release said.
Total Military Management is a logistics company at 8445 Western Way.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Valdosta State University.
