Young Lawyers host federal judges for lunch

The Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section continued its efforts to promote professionalism and civility in the legal profession by hosting a lunch with judges from the U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida Wednesday.

Judges and attorneys gathered in the jury assembly room on the first floor of the Bryan Simpson Federal Courthouse to share thoughts on the profession and sandwiches.

The events were developed to provide a social atmosphere for new lawyers to mingle with judges and allow them to ask questions about courtroom procedure they might not ask in the courtroom.

Senior U.S. District Court Judges Howell Melton and Harvey Schlesinger; U.S. District Court Judges Henry Lee Adams, Timothy Corrigan and Marcia Howard; U.S. Magistrate Judges James Klindt, and Thomas Morris; and U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Paul Glenn and Jerry Funk attended the event along with about 20 attorneys.
