JBA’s Bench and Bar party turns 30

The Jacksonville Bar Association hosted its annual “Bench and Bar” party Thursday for the second consecutive year in the lobby of its new home, the Aetna Building.

The 30th annual holiday celebration welcomed about 400 guests, which included about 40 area judges. The event is another effort by the JBA to promote civility and collegiality in the legal community by providing a social atmosphere for its members to meet and discuss the state of the profession. Past JBA President Ed White is credited with the creation of the event during his term (1979-1980).
